Angel's Gate
The breath of the collective soul.
The Sun’s apparent journey around the Earth culminates at four points that form the backbone of the Earth’s etheric body. These are the two equinoxes and the two solstices, marking the beginnings of the four seasons.
At the midpoint of each season, with the Sun poised between an equinox and a solstice, its essence reaches full fruition. These points constitute the four Avataric Gates of the year. Through them, cosmic energy is released at the highest level the planet can receive.
Angel’s Gate (Aquarius): February 3, 2026
Taurus’ Gate: May 5, 2026
Lion’s Gate: August 7, 2026
Eagle’s Gate (Scorpio): November 7, 2026
At the Gates of Taurus and Leo, the Bull and the Lion, the Ray of individuating power is released. The self is called to build and then radiate its sovereign light.
At the Gates of Scorpio and Aquarius, the Eagle and the Angel, the call shifts. The individual is summoned to transcend the self, to unite with, serve, and strengthen the collective for the common good.
This year’s Angels Gate takes place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the peak of the Air element, at 15° Aquarius.
In pre-Christian times and Celtic traditions, it was associated with the festival of Imbolc, where the “promise” of spring was honored. The gradual increase of light after harsh winters symbolized a period of purification from old and stagnant energies. The use of fire played a central role in the rituals because it represented the return of solar consciousness after winter’s introspection.
Later, in Christianity, Candlemas (February 2) was established, commemorating the “offering” of Jesus at the Temple by Mary and Joseph, forty days after His birth. In many regions, the ritual centers on processions with litanies and blessed candles, symbolizing the triumph of light and the renewal of the spiritual cycle.
As with the customs mentioned above, it astrologically marks the transition of the seasons. It is associated with the sign of Aquarius, which always heralds change, awakening and collective renewal. The Angel’s Gate reminds us that even if the world seems asleep, the light has already returned and will soon prevail.
The culmination of the Air element in the heart of winter brings forth the highest qualities of the collective soul: intelligence, objectivity, innovation, solidarity and unity.
In personal charts, the conjunction of a natal element (e.g. a planet, the Ascendant, or the Midheaven) with 15° Aquarius creates a channel of cosmic power. Through it, the individual is called to breathe life into collective consciousness with vision, ideas, clarity of mind and a pioneering spirit.
